Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), is a gentle massage technique that promotes lymphatic flow. Using gentle, slow and rhythmical movements to stimulate lymph flow from affected areas to unaffected areas ignorer to decrease size and increase mobility and range of motion. It is mainly used for Lymphedema, Lipedema and Dynamic Edema.
In addition to improving lymphatic circulation, MLD also increases blood flow in deep and superficial veins.
MLD can also be used for:
Pregnancy edema
Sinus and allergy issues
Cranial swelling
Digestive issues
Pre and post surgery
Neck injuries
Any ares of congestion or swelling etc.
Combined Decongestive Therapy, CDT, is a combination of the Dr. Vodder method of Manual Lymph Drainage and compression bandaging (or compression garments in the maintenance phase) as well as a self care plan.
